Team Ireland

Representing Ireland on the European and World stage. Team Ireland competes at the European Championships, World Championships, and international opens under the coordination of the European Bowling Federation (EBF) and the International Bowling Federation (IBF).

Selection Process

Eligibility

  • check Valid Tenpin Ireland membership
  • check Irish passport holder or eligible under EBF nationality rules
  • check Clean anti-doping record
  • check Garda vetted (if applicable)
  • check Participation in domestic selection events

Selection Criteria

Selection is based on a combination of Senior Tour performance, selection event results, and the discretion of the Team Ireland Sub-Committee. The committee considers:

  • arrow_right Selection event performance
  • arrow_right International competition experience
  • arrow_right Team balance and format requirements

Team Ireland Management

Team Ireland spans all divisions — junior, senior and adult. Adult international representation, selection and EBF/IBF liaison is coordinated by the Adult Section Sub-Committee (formerly the Team Ireland Sub-Committee, renamed at the 2026 AGM), with junior and senior selection handled by their respective sub-committees.
